==========================================================

July has been a busy, busy month for the McCullum family! Jenkins started attending our church's "Terrific Tuesday" events and has been bowling, swimming and to watch a movie in Florence. He really seems to enjoy it and I like that it gives him a break from daycare.

We had a great 4th of July weekend! I spent Friday, July 3rd, taking Jenkins and his friend, Josh K., bowling and to eat pizza. The boys seemed to have a good time and I really enjoyed it. (So much in fact, that I let Jenkins talk me into doing another "boys day" two weeks later....but that will come later...) We spent the remainder of the holiday weekend up in NC with Johnny's side of the family. Jenkins loves it there b/c there are so many kids to play with and some much room to wander.......swinging, swimming, riding 4wheelers......etc. We ended the weekend with a huge family cookout. Let's just say that I ruined my diet with some yummy blueberry delight! And the miracle of all miracles happened over that weekend.....Jenkins actually asked for and wore a 'pink' shirt! Now any of you that know Jenkins will know that until now he has refused to wear pastel colored shirts.....not even a tiny stripe in a shirt. So when he asked for the shirt in the store I wasn't too convinced that he would actually wear it. But he did....and he looked oh so handsome!

Josh didn't want me to take pictures!

Last weekend, Jenkins talked me into taking him for another "boys day". Seemed innocent enough, right? However, this time he wanted to take a different friend.....and yet another friend. So it ended up being three boys, me and Taylor (my ever trusty companion...LOL) The boys had fun, no doubt but boy, did they wear me out! Bayler went with us - which made the day so special. He looked fabulous....and while he got tired easily and fell asleep in the car on the way home - it was so great seeing him get to be an average 6 year old boy with his friends. That is one amazing little boy!! Jenkins and Keaton (the other friend).....well, they are your typical six-year old boys! We went bowling (again) and then they boys wanted to go to McDonalds....and then to Chuck E Cheese to play. Overall, it really was a great day and I really enjoyed spending time with the boys.

And in between all the work, fun days and family outings, we've managed to go to quite a few baseball and softball games. Worth, Kirsten and Coyt all three made All-Star teams. While Kirsten's team didn't fair too well, both Coyt and Worth are still playing. Worth's team (Hartsville National Majors) actually won their District tournament and start playing in the State tournament on Saturday! I am one proud Aunt!

So....that's pretty much our July for now. The best part about July ending is that we start vacation on July 31st! Look out Gatlinburg - here we come!
