An unexpected Fall Break . . . .

Well....they say that 'timing is everything' and I think that they are right! Last weekend Jenkins started feeling poorly so we were off to the doctor's office first thing Monday morning. Of course, you know it......H1N1 (swine flu) and a double ear infection. UUrrghhh! By Tuesday afternoon his fever was gone but I kept him home another day - just to be certain that we weren't spreading germs to the rest of the school. I had been in touch with Jenkins' teacher so I could get all of his assignments (and Lord, was there ever a ton of work to make up!) and discovered that they were averaging about 10 kids out of his class every day. Yesterday Jenkins came home telling me that only 9 kids were his class that day (there should be 21). Wow...that's alot of sick kids! Of course, today the school announces once the kids are dismissed today that they are closing the school until Monday. I think it's a great idea.....just wish they would have done it last week when Jenkins was already home sick. Timing is everything, right?
Football is still going well! Jenkins is LOVING it to say the least. We've play 1/2 the season now....a whopping 4 games and are currently 3-1. It really should be 4-0 b/c we lost the one game in the 7 seconds of the game. Here are a couple of pictures from his recent games.

Is it just me or does Jenkins look a little small??
